Sterling Valentine interviews Jon Olson: Part One.
Sterling Valentine interviews Jon Olson: Part Two.
The live feed went down half way through the interview so the first video came to a rather abrupt end. The story continues in part two below, and apart from the wrong caption showing at the beginning, things soon got back on track.

I thought today’s interview, even with its glitch (which just goes to show that we are all human) was a great example of online teaching and learning.
Now, in addition to yesterday’s comments, I have a new sign to put up on my wall:
• Soak up as much info as possible about list building.
• Get involved in social networking with other marketers.
• Get a squeeze page up.
• Get some personal branding out there.
• Just keep on keeping on and getting the right things right.
I think that pretty much sums it up!
Equally exciting throughout this whole series of interviews is the opportunity to talk to and network with others who have been where we are and can give us their gems of advice. Being able to ask the questions and get immediate answers in this venue is one of the best, if not the best, way to learn.
Thanks to both of you.
Well done Jon.. I knew it was going to be great – You guys probably could have gone on for hours! Congrats again on getting to 40k in Sweeva.. you are serving the TE community more than anyone could and you deserve every bit of success you receive.
Thanks guys!
Hey Patti, thanks very much for the comments (and I think you were the ‘Patti’ that asked all the questions yesterday) If you are, please do drop me a line so I can send you a copy of my book =)
Thanks Darren – much appreciated sir.
Hi Jon,
More than two hours of brilliant content there but, for me, the main thing I took from this when you explained the difference between someone just setting out in marketing and the more experienced marketers that we all look up to.
Reminding us all that the other guy has either been doing it longer, or is working harder at it, or both of the above helps me put everything into perspective.
Well said and thanks for taking the time to be part of the Challenge and share your knowledge with us all.
Patrick.
Wow guys,
Almost two hours… the first video gave me a lot of extra confidence and many tips around how a few things work while the second contributed to establish more the importance of taking action and that everybody can do this.
I got so left behind as I had a lot of technical issues with my site, but I’m still going to watch the videos if possible.
Thanks a bunch Sterling and Jon
(as well as the other listbuilders who have shared their expertise)
Sergio
Hey Sergio,
I am glad you are catching up with these videos after the problems you had on your site.
It does not matter whether you take 30 days or even 30 weeks to work on the training material from this Challenge because the main thing is to listen to the advice and take action.
Gaining the confidence to actually take action is a huge step on its own and if the Challenge has made you feel more confident about your listbuilding then that is a great result already.
And, as you know I have seen your blog, and I feel you already have a lot to feel confident about.
Good luck Sergio.
Patrick.
